From opening night until the show in Montreal, Quebec, Canada at the Bell Centre on June 28th, Twain will be joined by opening act Wes Mack. Mack is a Canadian singer, actor, and director that is known for his time on the television series, Smallville. An accomplished musician, Mack has been nominated for several Canadian Country Music Awards during his career. After Macks time on the tour comes to a close, Gavin DeGraw will take over as opening act for Twain.
From the appearance at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City on June 30th through the tour-ending show in Fresno, DeGraw will be the man responsible for getting the fans ready for Twain. DeGraw has released several Gold and Platinum certified singles in his career including I Dont Want to Be, Chariot, Not Over You, and Follow Through.
Twain is one of the most celebrated country artists of all time. She has won five Grammy Awards during her two-decade long career and is the best-selling female country artist of all time with more than 75 million records sold. A large percentage of those album sales came from 1995 through 2002 with the release of The Woman in Me, Come on Over, and Up!. These three albums all earned Diamond certification from the Recording Industry Association of America for selling more than 10 million copies.
In December, Twain finished off a two-year residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and recently released a CD and DVD from her time in Las Vegas. Fans that caught her show on the Strip went home happy and will surely be looking to find a show on the Rock This Country Tour where they can see the Canadian country legend before she calls it quits.
Among the notable venues that Twain will make stops at during her final tour include the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT; Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario; Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY; American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL; Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC; The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, MI; Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO; and SAP Center at San Jose in San Jose, CA.
In all, Twain will make 48 stops during her farewell tour to the fans. If the success of her recent stint in Las Vegas is any indication, tickets for these shows will sell out quickly.
